Challenging 4 days biking trip in Salta region

We made a 3 days biking trip from Piedra del Molino to Cafayate (nights in Seclantas and Angastaco). We rented the bikes from MTB Salta, Francisco brought us from Salta to Piedra del Molino in the morning of the first day and picked up from Cafayate back to Salta on the forth.
Lot of thanks to Francisco, the bikes were really good, but even more we enjoyed his cordiality and open communication, his stories about the region an Argentina overall. As well as a friendly and comfortable family hostel "Las Rejas" in which MTB Salta office is located (we stayed there one night before and after our biking trip)
The route itself was really challenging. 60 km per day on the gravel , always up and down, always on the sun and without any shade, appeared to be too much even for a person in a good shape. 30 - 40 km would be quite enough.
But the trip was worth of doing, we really enjoyed it! Especially those small towns, their friendly people. And of course the vineyards an ¨bodegas¨around Cafayate.

Nice personal small agency which just like the stuff we like

We ran into the small office where was enough space for mate and laughter. Fran explained a lot about the different landscapes and tours they offer. We only did a small tour as it was available on the day, but the longer bike or hike trips look very interesting with these amicale guides. They combine their love of the nature with the joy of sports, just as we like it. Nacho showed us the nice nature around Salta, just a small ride away from the city centre. Real friendly, good English, nice bikes.

Bike ride around Salta

I recently rented bikes from Fran in MTB Salta with boyfriend and another friend. We rented the bikes for the whole day so we could cycle to a nearby town (San Lorenzo) and back to Salta. The experience with MTB Salta was great. Fran is an extremely helpful, knowledgable and friendly guy. He went through our route with us in detail and pointed out other various sites we might be interested in along the way. He supplied us with a map, repair kits, helmets and if course great bikes. We chose to rent our own bikes but MTB Salta had loads of wonderful tours on offer that would be worth checking out.

Again thanks for the great day Fran and MTB Salta,

Awesome bike trip!

We did the day long bike trip from Salta (Bull Circuit or Circuito del Toro) and had a great time! Nacho was an awesome guide - very knowledgeable, nice and personable. He told us lots of stories about Argentinian culture and the local geography. Ride was nice (good for our level, casual commuter cyclists) and bikes were in good condition. Also, tasty lunch. Recommended tour!

Hiking and Mountainbiking in the Yungas

We can totally recommend those trips - the Yungas are spectacular and extremely beautiful, and Nacho and Francisco are absolutely nice and friendly guy(de)s! You will see and hear a lot you would have missed without a guide, and it is a lot of fun (even when it rains ;)
If we are lucky enough to visit Salta a second time, we will definitely try one of the other tours, too (which was - due to the weather conditions - not possible this time).

Wonderful day biking with MTB

We had a wonderful day out with Nacho on 13 April 2013. We booked through the MTB website prior to our arrival in Salta, and the team were very quick to respond to our request. We were greeted warmly at our hotel on the morning and driven approximately 30mins before being kitted out with bikes and helmets etc. All equipment was well maintained and in good condition (especially compared to other bikes we'd hired in Argentina). Nacho gave us lots of information on the area and argentina in general and also entertained us with a few songs along the way. We went at our own pace so the ride wasn't too difficult. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone!

Adventure guaranteed

We did a one day customised mountain bike trip organised by MTB Salta and Nacho was our guide. It was awesome as we asked for something different than their standard rainforest tour and they were keen to make it customised to our capabilities and wishes. We did a tough mtb trip up the mountain and down it which was a bit tricky and hard at times but it was exactly what we wanted. In between we had a few stops, time to enjoy the scenery, eat/drink something and especially learn about the environment (incl insects) and culture/history of Argentinia! It was really cool that Nacho took to time to go into detail about the history and if it wasn´t for him we would have had a much more of a typical ¨´Gringo´¨ idea about Argentina.

We got along that well that we even went for a very late lunch with empenadas and Salta beer! Afterwards we even shared some Mate and had a well deserved shower at his place and got dropped off at the bus station.....

In short genuine guys who enjoy what they are doing and go the extra mile to please/comfort/inform their adventure seeking clients. It was the best guided experience we did in South America!

Bike tour at Salta

Great day bike trip with Nacho exploring outside Salta. Even though it was a cold, wet day we still have a fantastic time. Not too hard a ride and Nacho knew a lot about the area and his upbeat happy personality, perfect English and yummy lunch made it a great day out. Highly recommend this company.

Amazing biking experience through the Rainforest

This ride was a lot of fun. The guide Fran was very knowledgable and made the experience fantastic. An awesome day spent riding through the rainforest. Saw lots of animals. Half way through we got to cool down in the creek. Well worth the money. Wish I had more time to check out some of his other activity tours. Also did a day trip in the tour bus, another day well spent. Over all a very great service. Thanks Fran. Jitan
