IMPORTANT: This is not a cycling trip. It was designed for our guests who want outdoor activities and meet wonderful places but they are not considered able to do aboard a bicycle.

This is a trip that combines two tours of longer duration. A trip to San Antonio de los Cobres, and a visit to the Quebrada de Humahuaca, knowing the village of Purmamarca and passing earlier by Salinas Grandes. Close to the Salt Flats

The landscape that runs can hardly be forgotten, the Quebrada del Toro surprised by their shapes and colors.The Salt Flats or Salinas Grandes, located mostly in Jujuy territory, and have an area of approx. 212 sq km, are ideal for experimenting with the photo camera because of its large dimensions and perspective generated by the distance to the horizon. And Purmamarca also surprised by the colors of its geography and culture.

THE TRIP

It begins doing the same route as San Antonio de los Cobres, entering by the "Quebrada del Toro" and knowing the various attractions of the area. Arrival to San Antonio.
Then begins the most inhospitable part of the journey. Passing through the Polvorilla Viaduct, is progressing on route 40, where there are almost no inhabitants, in the direction of the Salt Flats (Salinas Grandes). The magnificent view of the road shows impressive Tuzgle Volcano, with its 5.500msnm and the opportunity to photograph wild animals like the Vicuña.
In Jujuy territory the Salt Flats surprised since they are divisible for the first time. It makes a stop here to enjoy so strange landscape like to take pictures.
Then moving up the so-called Cuesta de Lipan, whose highest point is 4010 meters above sea level. It drops its endless curves to the village of Purmamarca, in the Quebrada de Humahuaca and famous for its Cerro de los 7 colores. Visit the town, and undertakes a return to Salta by the so-called Way of cornice, an alternate path that meanders by the so-called jungle pede Montana.

Esta es una excursión que combina dos excursiones en una de mayor duración. Por un lado, un viaje hacia San Antonio de los Cobres, y por el otro, una visita a parte de la quebrada de Humahuaca, conociendo el pueblo de Purmamarca y pasando anteriormente por las Salinas Grandes. Salinas Grandes

El paisaje que se recorre difícilmente pueda ser olvidado, la quebrada del Toro sorprende por sus formas y colores. Las Salinas, ubicadas la mayor parte en territorio jujeño, y que tienen una superficie de aprox. 212 km², son ideales para experimentar con la cámara de fotos debido a sus grandes dimensiones y perspectiva generada por la distancia con el horizonte. Y Purmamarca también sorprende por el colorido de su geografía y su cultura.

EL VIAJE

Se comienza haciendo el mismo recorrido que a San Antonio de los Cobres (ver aquí), entrando por la Quebrada del Toro y conociendo los diferentes atractivos de la zona. Se llega al pueblo, y se recorre.
Luego comienza la parte más inhóspita del viaje. Pasando por el Viaducto La Polvorilla, se avanza por la ruta 40, donde casi no existen habitantes, en dirección a las Salinas Grandes. El magnifico camino muestra imponentes vistas del Volcán Tuzgle, con sus 5.500msnm y la oportunidad de fotografiar animales salvajes.
Ya en territorio Jujeño las salinas sorprenden desde el momento en que son divisadas por primera vez. Se hace una parada en este lugar para disfrutar de tan extraño paisaje y aprovechar para sacar fotos.
Luego se avanza hasta la denominada Cuesta de Lipan, cuyo punto mas alto es de 4010 msnm. Se desciende por su infinidad de curvas hasta llegar al pueblo de Purmamarca, enclavado en la Quebrada de Humahuaca y famoso por su Cerro de los 7 colores. Se visita el pueblo, y se emprende la vuelta a Salta por el denominado Camino de cornisa, un camino alternativo el cual serpentea por la denominada selva pede Montana.
